1st John 1:22, “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” The Gospel is this, 1Peter 3:18 “Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God”. This is the preeminent message Christ wants the world to hear. There is no Biblical basis for Calvinism’s “Limited Atonement”. It teaches that the Gospel offers false hope to all those who can never, under any circumstance, be forgiven of sin.
Until an unsaved person has first been indoctrinated with the nuances of Calvinism, should they even be permitted to read the New Testament and perhaps be deluded into thinking God sent His Son into the world to die for everyone?

Dad, if Calvinism is true, then the worst mistake that you can make is to read the Bible first, because the Bible naturally implies something *opposite* of Calvinism, which is proven and documented by tribes in remote areas where, when converts were not taught Calvinism, did NOT end up becoming Calvinists, wheres similar groups who HAD been taught Calvinism, did in fact become Calvinists, which proves the point that if Calvinism is correct, then perhaps the worst thing that you could do is to give them a Bible. First, give them "Chosen By God" by R.C. Sproul, or something similar by Piper, Driscoll, MacArthur, White or the like. Starting them off with the Bible will otherwise keep them in the dark. If Calvinism is true, thne verses like John 3:16 will just confuse people. Stick with Calvinists books, and let them tell us what the Bible really means, such as, "For God so loved the world...of the elect." The Bible doesn't say that, so that's why a Calvinism primer would be necessary.
As a small child I was taught to sing the words, “Jesus loves me this I know for the Bible tells me so”. According to Calvinism only the children who were predestined to salvation are singing the truth and the rest are deceived reprobates headed for hell. But Jesus said, Mark 10:14, “Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” Who would ever defer to the false Calvinistic opinion of “Limited Atonement” over the actual words of Christ?
